the narrowboat shell
the narrowboat shell

May 2010

This is the finished shell that I now needed to make into my home.
At this stage, I made the curtains. Favourite bits of material would soon grace the windows, my greatest pleasure being that only two would match, and one job was already ticked off the 'to do' list.

When it came to fitting out, I was sorry to lose so much of the grace and perfection of these subtle curves beneath insulation and cladding, and to reduce these quiet long lines to busy little compartments.
